San Diego Beaches: In My Humble, Local Opinion

Get your Anchorman jokes out of the way now, I’ll wait…

San Diego is perfect and will always “Stay Classy.”

There are over 70 miles of coastline searching across the stunning shores of San Diego, and each beach has her own unique vibe.

Before we begin, this is my opinion and you are entitled to your own.

Now let’s get into it…

Best Overall Beach: Coronado

The sand is endless, the old Hollywood feel, and the close proximity to local restaurants. It is the most BEACH.

Best For Girls Trips: Carlsbad City Beach

I have a special place in my soul for this beach. This is the beach I sat on when I decided to move to San Diego.

Carlsbad Village is the best for a girls trip. It is SUPER safe, has the best local spots, and a very casual vibe. Easily one of the most walkable places in San Diego.

Best For Party Goers: Pacific Beach

Ask anyone, PB is the hot spot for parties. I will leave it at that.

Best For Surfers(& Nudists) : Black's Beach

Oh, I am not joking. You walk far enough past the surfers and you will happen upon San Diego’s ONLY nude beach.

The waves here are for the experienced surfers and the hike to get there is beautiful!

Best For Adventure: La Jolla Cove

Seals, Sea Lions, Caves, Kayaking! It really is a good time, and at the end you can wander uphill to any of the great restaurants or bars for a cocktail.
